Media interviews conducted remotely – by phone, Zoom, Skype and other technology are on the increase. Many print journalists are under too much pressure now to leave the office to conduct interviews and so a phone conversation as become the norm, as we explain in our print media training courses.

But new technology such as Zoom and enhanced audio and picture quality means that radio and TV producers are increasingly happy to take interviews remotely. Better to get someone on the show quickly (and cheaply) they reckon, than to spend hours organising a crew to visit the interviewee in their office or home.

It’s hardly surprising then, that we’re doing more and more media training courses via Zoom. Not only are they realistic but virtual meeting training courses are often more convenient for participants – especially as more and more of us are working from home these days.
